ELIZABETHANSAn ancient watermill rescued from dereliction by a dedicated local team of volunteers in a decade-long restoration.
Set around a cobbled courtyard, the mill buildings now house a working flour mill staffed by volunteer millers, along with a number of other artisanal craft enterprises.
Pop inside the mill and visit all three floors including the working waterwheel. Observe flour being made (available to purchase as a souvenir). There's lots of interpretation describing this history of the building, the restoration and current day working. There's often a miller able to talk about the mill and demonstrate the milling process.
Town Mill is ideal for all ages
