Here's some of the most frequently-asked questions about school visits to The Tank Museum, posed by teachers and other group leaders
The Museum has a large space available to eat packed lunches. There is space to store coats and bags in the Museum away from the general public but we cannot guarantee that it will be secured, therefore we recommend that valuables are not left in the area.
All our workshops can be adapted and our staff are very experienced at working with pupils with a range of additional needs. Please contact us to discuss how we can adapt workshops for your group.
Please have a discussion with your pupils about the appropriate way to behave in a memorial site and how their behaviour might affect other visitors in a positive or negative way. We have many visitors who have a personal connection to the Army or have been in the armed forces themselves, for example veterans of the Second World War.
It may be helpful to run through the following points with your students prior to their visit. The Tank Museum has large vehicles on display in our galleries. Please make pupils aware that running in the Museum or climbing on the vehicles could lead to serious injury.
