THE SEARegularly topping polls as one of the UK's best beaches, Bournemouth is a classic 'bucket-and-spade' destination with lots of soft golden sand, facilities close by and of course a lifeguard service during the main spring/summer months.
Bournemouth beach can get very busy especially in prolonged periods of fair weather however weekdays and early evenings are usually reasonably quiet. And there's so much beach here that you can always move along and find some space!
If planning a trip here, as well as ice cream money you might also come under pressure to use the cliff lifts (chargeable) rather than walking the steep hills, and perhaps the land train which runs along the promenade during the summer. And that's before the arcades and the pier!
