CRIME & PUNISHMENT

A small, volunteer-run museum chronicling the entire history of HM Prison Portland, from the original 1848 adult convict establishment, its Borstal period from 1921 and Young Offenders Institution from 1988 onwards.

Just across from the main prison gatehouse, the museum is located within the former deputy governor's house.

Groups of more than 20 students will need to be staggered to avoid overcrowding.
