Cathedral of Dorset

Founded in 705 as a cathedral and operating as a Benedictine abbey between 998 and the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century, Sherborne Abbey is now the parish church of Sherborne.

A living, working church with regular worship sessions and ministry, regular planned tours take place on different days of the week. In addition, a dedicated schools visit co-ordinator can help organise sessions covering most curriculum subjects for all key stages that relate back to the Abbey in some way.
