WORLD WAR IIThe Royal Signals Museum is situated at the heart of a working military base - an adventure in itself! All visits are set within the museum building.
Visits are tailored to meet group needs and curriculum support is available for history, English, technology, sciences, art, mathematics and citizenship. For older students support can include military preparation, uniformed public services, communications.
Lots of hands-on exhibits and activity sheets are provided. During a handling session, students will complete a programme of activities using circuit boards, buzzers, lamps, telephone exchanges, military comms equipment, mirrors, shutter telegraph and more, depending on topics chosen for focus.
There will always be free time for exploration and if you like, we can arrange for your coach to do a tour of the camp before departure - a unique glimpse into the working life of an active military establishment!
Royal Signals Museum is great for all ages, but perhaps a little overwhelming for the very youngest visitors
