Dorset Adventure Park is ideal for all ages
Here's some of the most frequently-asked questions about school visits to Dorset Adventure Park, posed by teachers and other group leaders
Students WILL get very messy, so we recommend old clothes and trainers or wellies. They will of course need a full change of clothes for afterwards, a towel for showering, and a bag to contain their dirty/wet gear such as a black bin bag.
Children should wear normal swimming gear - ideally under their normal clothes to speed up changing. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids will be provided. A towel will be needed afterwards plus somewhere to keep wet gear.
The maximum number of people in either lake at any time is 50. Schools approaching this number will have exclusive use of one lake at a time. Whilst for smaller groups some co-sharing may be needed, the facility will always try to separate primary and secondary age children.
Yes, male and female changing rooms are provided, and teachers will be offered somewhere private if they need to change too. Showers are open "beach style" intended for rinsing off whilst wearing swimwear then it's back to the changing rooms to strip off and swap for dry clothes.
No, but they do need to be on hand to help with supervision of changing and play. The Waterpark has trained lifeguards on duty. The Mud Trail has less supervision.
