FOSSILSA little gem of a museum tucked away in a beautiful part of the island in two 17th century cottages.
The Isle of Portland has always been regarded as self-identified - somewhere a little different - and this quality is reflected in the museum's collection, with artefact topics including dinosaurs, fossils, shipwrecks, smugglers, stone carvings, groundbreaking local scientists and world-famous authors.
Portland Museum is great for all ages, but perhaps a little overwhelming for the very youngest visitors
