School Trips to: Dorset

Want to learn more about life on the Isle of Wight? Wondering how to persuade parents to let their children come away with school on a residential adventure to the Diamond Isle?

Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South is a Channel 5 TV series first broadcast in 2023 celebrating the beauty and heritage of the island through residents whose families have lived here for generations. Filmed during the summer and showcasing much of our stunning scenery and visitor attractions, these 1-hour programmes are ideal for whetting the appetite of any would-be island visitor.

Meet local fishmongers, sailors, gardeners from Osborne house, the owners of our island airstrip, RNLI volunteers, visit our summer steam fair, watch preparations for our various carnivals and so much more.

Rather than post links which could easily go out of date, search My5 or the Channel 5 website for "Jewel of the South"
